How to prepare your phone numbers for importing
Complete your Letter of Authorization, provide proof of ownership, and keep your lines active afterduring the move.
To get your phone numbers moved to your new CRM, it's going to take a few simple steps. Overall, this process takes 5-15 business days. It's critical that you do not cancel your current service until the porting is completed. Your carrier may not retain the phone numbers after cancellation. Losing the numbers indefinitely.
The first step is to complete the letter of authorization from Twilio. The service provider can be your current CRM.
Next, we are going to need to provide proof to Twilio that you have ownership of the numbers. Proof can be provided in the form of a recent billing statement (within the past 30 days) or a screenshot of your account with the numbers and your name or organization name. Without correct documentation, your port request can be rejected.
If you plan to port a Google Voice number. Take a screenshot of the Google Voice Settings Page, ensuring the phone number and email appear in the screenshot.
If your current provider supports expedited porting of a toll-free number via a Transfer to RespOrg option, you can significantly speed up the transition by entering TWI01 as the new RespOrg.
